China is seeing a dramatic increase in the number of its young people returning from colleges and universities abroad.

For years a high proportion of these students have acquired citizenship or residency in the countries where they studied, and stayed on after graduation.

But the Center for China and Globalization said that in 2012 more than 270,000 young people came back to China, an increase of 46% over 2011. The study found the rapid economic development of China is a major attraction.
