India's minister for commerce and industry, Nirmala Sitharaman, will meet her Pakistani counterpart, Khurram Dastgir Khan, later this month to start drawing up a fresh road map for trade liberalization between the two countries. The meeting is likely to take place in Bhutan on July 24 and is the first high-level meeting between the two regional rivals since the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to office in India in May. Pakistan and India were due to remove all barriers to bilateral trade in 2012, but missed the deadline because of political upheavals.
