The man likely to be Indonesia's next president, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, says he wants to see more processing of the country's mineral wealth before export, and a total reform of the chaotic energy sector. Foreign mining companies have recently taken a hard look at their operations in Indonesia after the current administration attempted to introduce regulations requiring the processing of minerals before export. Jokowi, who polls say is most likely to win the presidential election early next month, said recently: “Take bauxite. If we processed bauxite into aluminum, the value could surge 19-fold.”BANGLADESH
