Japan: Direct flights launched

Thai airline Asia Atlantic Airlines, which is part-owned by Japanese tourist company HIS Co., is going to begin direct flights from Japan to Cambodia in September.

Thai airline Asia Atlantic Airlines, which is part-owned by Japanese tourist company HIS Co., is going to begin direct flights from Japan to Cambodia in September.

Using Boeing 767 aircraft, the company plans to run three flights weekly between Tokyo's Narita International Airport and the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh. Starting in October, the company will also run four flights a week from Tokyo to the Siem Reap tourist centre. Return economy fares will be about $1,000, including taxes; business-class tickets will cost about $2,240 return.
