Korea: Korean youth favour smartphones over computers

Young South Koreans much prefer their smartphones over their computers as the electronic gadget of choice.

Young South Koreans much prefer their smartphones over their computers as the electronic gadget of choice.

A survey by the advertising agency HS Ad has found that young people in their 20s spend on average five hours and 15 minutes a day using their smartphones, but only an hour and 46 minutes glued to their computers or televisions.

In contrast, people in their 50s spend only two hours and seven minutes a day on their smartphones, but five hours and 39 minutes watching TV or using their computers.
