South Korea’s economic and political achievements in the last few decades have been impressive, but it seems citizens may be paying with a poor quality of life.
A new Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development report ranks South Korea 27th among 36 major countries for the quality of life of its citizens. The country ranked particularly low in life satisfaction, income, health and environment. It did, however, score well in education, civic engagement and safety.
