This week’s Canada-China Investment Summit 2012 is aiming to facilitate Chinese investment in Canada by helping China’s private companies better understand Canada’s investment environment.
The event, held yesterday and today at the Vancouver Convention Centre, brings together private-sector business leaders and policymakers from Canada and China.
According to co-organizers the Canada China Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Asia Pacific Investment Summit 2012, the summit will “provide timely information on the investment environment in Canada, with a special focus on Western provinces.”
The event also looks to create networking opportunities between Chinese investors and potential Canadian partners “to explore business opportunities in Canada.”
B.C. premier Christy Clark will be the keynote speaker at the event’s business forum this afternoon.
The summit is hosted by the Dawa Business Group of Canada and Canada Jiazhong Investment Development Foundation.
