Edgar Sandulo, a display designer and installer who does business as Edgar Designs, is suing Christmas Forever and Holland Imports Inc. for allegedly supplying a shipment of Christmas decorations that were infested with insects.

Sandulo filed a notice of civil claim in BC Supreme Court on December 3, claiming he contracted with Christmas Forever and Holland Imports for the manufacture, supply and import of decorations he was going to use for decorating B.C. government liquor stores.

The decorations were delivered directly to many liquor stores, according to the claim, and Sandulo didn't have a chance to inspect the decorations before inking the original deal. The decorations, Sandulo claims, were found to be infested with insects and were later ordered destroyed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. He claims he incurred costs uninstalling the decorations and sourcing a new supply, and claims loss of goodwill between him and his client, the BC Liquor Distribution Branch.

Sandulo seeks unspecified damages for breach of contract and misrepresentation. None of the allegations has been proven in court and Holland Imports had not filed a response by press time.
