B.C. companies are heavily dominating the shortlists for HSBC's International Business Awards, which recognize the best Canadian companies doing business abroad.
Eight B.C. companies are in the running for awards in four categories, out of a total of just 11 finalists.
The B.C. companies nominated include small and medium-sized businesses as well as large companies.
B.C. companies shortlisted in the small and medium-sized enterprise category are:
- Global Relay; and
- Nanak Foods.
B.C. companies in the large enterprise category are:
- Canfor Corp.;
- Energold Drilling Corp.; and
- Stork Craft.
B.C. firms in the running for the Leadership in International Trade – Asia-Pacific award are:
- BioteQ Environmental Technologies; and
- SPF Precut Lumber.
And for Leadership in International Trade – Latin America:
- Energold Drilling Corp.; and
- Natural Trade Ltd.
Finalists and winners will be honoured at an invite-only gala celebration in November in Toronto.
