Aries Construction Management is suing Carson Air and 600897 B.C. Ltd. for allegedly failing to pay $264,995 for construction work on an aircraft hangar.

Aries filed a notice of civil claim in BC Supreme Court on January 14, claiming it signed on to construct the hangar based on drawings and specifications provided by the defendants. The plans allegedly contained errors about the building site, which delayed the project by several months. Aries claims the work was substantially completed by the end of October 2013, but defendants allegedly failed to pay a holdback amount of $192,548 after receiving an invoice and also allegedly failed to pay Aries’ final invoice for $70,290.

Aries seeks a judgment for the unpaid invoices and damages for unjust enrichment and construction delays. None of the allegations has been proven in court and the defendants have not yet filed a response to the claim.
