Late last year, Traction on Demand CEO Gregory Malpass was the recipient of one of BIV’s 2016 BC CEO awards, and the company has continued piling up the honours in 2017.
A day after it was named a Best Workplace for Women by Great Place to Work, the cloud technology company has been awarded Deloitte’s distinction of being one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2017.
Five other B.C.-based companies also won this title: AG Hair (wholesale distribution), Layfield (manufacturing), McElhanney Consulting Services (engineering and architecture), Quails Gate Winery (food and beverage) and Tap & Barrel (food and beverage).
This year, 45 companies across the country were honoured with Best Managed Companies awards, which Deloitte gives to Canadian-privately owned and managed companies with revenue over $15 million that demonstrate “exceptional business performance.” They are evaluated in terns of revenue growth, job creation and overall performance.
“Leading with a courageous mindset is imperative to being a Best Managed company,” Deloitte’s national co-leader of the program Peter Brown said.
“When faced with tough decisions, these companies have the values and the strength to make hard decisions to ensure that their business continues to move forward and succeed.”
Deloitte has been running the awards program since 1993.
