Premier Christy Clark will embark on a five-day tour September 30 with stops in Kelowna, Toronto and Washington, D.C., the provincial government announced September 23.
Clark will kick off the tour with a keynote address to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce at their annual general meeting in Kelowna to promote skills training.
The premier will then travel to Toronto to co-chair a roundtable meeting with New Brunswick Premier David Alward to discuss labour force issues across Canada.
Clark will also meet with United States officials in Washington, D.C., to support President Barack Obama’s climate action plan and to promote British Columbia’s LNG industry as a clean energy solution.
The tour dates are:
- September 30: Kelowna;
- October 1: Toronto;
- October 2: Toronto and Washington, D.C.; and
- October 3-4: Washington, D.C.
