The province’s Public Service Agency said it has now reached contract agreements with Queen’s Printer employees and public service nurses.

“These two settlements represent the conclusion of bargaining in the Public Service sector under the 2012 Cooperative Gains Mandate,” said Finance Minister Michael de Jong.

According to the government, the Queen’s Printer agreement has been ratified by approximately 55 employees represented by the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada Local 2000 and Local 525G. The employees provide printing services for government ministries, including document management, graphic design, web page hosting and design, typesetting and production design and press and bindery operations.

The government said a tentative agreement has also been reached with approximately 650 nurses employed by the Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission and represented by the Union of Psychiatric Nurses and the BC Nurses Union.

According to the government, both two-year agreements include four separate general wage increases of 1% each, funded from within existing budgets.
