A British Columbia court has ordered one of the province’s biggest waste haulers to pay a $145,000 fine for operating an unlicensed waste handling facility.

Super Save Disposal Inc. pleaded guilty to operating a waste transfer station without a license, contrary to Metro Vancouver bylaws. The company continued to operate the facility after receiving several warnings from Metro Vancouver bylaw enforcement officers.

Super Save Disposal, which is part of the Super Save Group of Companies, was ordered to pay the fine to Metro Vancouver by October 13, 2014.

It is the second time the company has been convicted of the same bylaw infraction.
