Sue Belisle has taken early retirement from her role after nearly three years as president and publisher of Business in Vancouver.
Belisle has had a distinguished career as an advertising executive in British Columbia media and is a board member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade. She has made, as Glacier Media CEO Jon Kennedy notes, some shrewd investments to permit her to retire.
Revenue and circulation have grown under her leadership, and “Sue has played a critical role in the realization of this progress,” Kennedy said. “BIV enjoys a great reputation as one of the top voices for business in the Lower Mainland and beyond.”
BIV now will report to Alvin Brouwer, who becomes its president as part of his roles as president of Lower Mainland Publishing LP and Glacier Media Digital Publishing.
Kirk LaPointe remains editor-in-chief of BIV and assumes new duties as vice-president, editorial, for Glacier Media.
