CHEK TV reality series The Hard Way, which seeks to help B.C. businesses get out of difficulty, is moving its focus from Victoria to Vancouver for its new 2014 fall season and is seeking applications.

The producers are looking for new business owners who are facing current difficulties and, according to CHEK TV, "are prepared to do what it takes to save their business and achieve success."

Like other business reality shows, business owners are put before a panel of experts to tell their story. However, The Hard Way does not offer funding, but assistance, so that businesses can build themselves up – as the producers put it – "The Hard Way." The panel of experts are challenged to mentor and guide the chosen struggling businesses over a 90-day period with the aim of turning the business around.

Airing in September 2014, each episode of The Hard Way will be devoted entirely to one business.

To see a current episode, go to the CHEK website.

To apply to be on The Hard Way or for more information, go to www.hardway.ca.

Applications close January 6, 2014.
