What’s better than a week spent exploring the sights and sounds of beautiful British Columbia? Doing it in a really, really nice car.
Luxury Horizons, a travel agency that creates Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous-type tourism experiences, is offering a six-day B.C. Luxury Car Tour package from September 22-27, 2014.
For about $17,000 a pop, you can hold the keys (or hold exclusive shotgun rights) to an exotic vehicle by Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Audi or Aston Martin. You’ll use your fancy ride to navigate the highways and byways of Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
The tour revs up in Victoria, where guests will check into the five-star Brentwood Bay Resort and enjoy fine dining at nearby Butchart Gardens.
The million-dollar-plus convoy will depart the next morning, cruising the scenic Pacific Rim Highway to Tofino’s Wickaninnish Inn, where seaside suites and a beachside cocktail reception await.
Day three offers a choice of high-end adventures – surfing, whale watching or deep-sea fishing – followed by an exclusive, sommelier-led wine tasting and a second night’s stay at the Wick.
Next up, Salt Spring Island’s Hastings House– a Relais & Châteaux resort with onsite spa treatments to soothe strained steering hands and sore, pedal-pushing feet.
Day five sees one last drive to the harbour, where guests will board a (pilot-operated) seaplane and wave goodbye to their vehicles from the air.
