Air Canada Rouge plans to launch flights to Dublin three times per week starting June 10

Air Canada has been dribbling out announcements that amount to a flurry of new routes out of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) starting next spring.

Canada’s national carrier is also planning to double its number of flights between YVR and London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR), to two from one, on a seasonal basis.

Dublin, Ireland is the latest city that Air Canada plans to service with non-stop flights out of YVR.

Air Canada announced November 25 that its Air Canada Rouge will fly non-stop flights three times per week between Vancouver and Dublin, starting June 10 and continuing until at least October 8.

These would be the only scheduled non-stop flights between YVR and Dublin Airport.

The news follows Air Canada’s announcement November 19 that it will fly daily non-stop flights, starting in spring 2016, between Vancouver and three new U.S. cities: Chicago, San Diego and San Jose.

Flights to San Jose International Airport launch first, on May 9, and it is the only new route that will be twice daily instead of simply daily.

Flights to San Diego International Airport then launch June 2, while flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport follow two days later, on June 4.

All these flights are in addition to what will be the furthest new route out of Vancouver for Canada’s national airline.

On June 1, Air Canada plans to launch three non-stop flights per week year-round between Vancouver and Brisbane, Australia.

In July, when the airline first announced its YVR flights to Brisbane Airport, it had set a start date of June 16.

On October 30, it announced that it was bumping up the start date for those flights.

As for the increased frequency between YVR and LHR, those will start June 1 and continue until September 29, when frequency will revert back to once daily.

Airlines plan a series of new or enhanced routes at YVR:
