To celebrate Lunar New Year and the Year of the Sheep, Vancouver’s state-of-the-art FlyOver Canada attraction is now chartering flights to the Far East.
On now until March 5 at Canada Place, Flight of the Dragon takes passengers on an exotic ride over China’s snow-peaked Himalayas, the Great Wall and the bustling megacity of Shanghai — all for less than $20 a ticket.
FlyOver sets itself apart from other local attractions by strapping riders into a giant airplane chairlift that’s suspended above a 19-metre spherical theatre. Seatbelts are mandatory as the flight simulator tips and dips while flying through a host of outdoor elements such as gusting winds, cool mists and fresh scents of flowers and fields. The immersive 4D experience goes the distance to transport its audiences to far-reaching vistas, and after the limited-time-only showing of Flight of the Dragon, passengers take off again immediately for the iconic flight over Canada for this special double feature.
The family-friendly ride is suitable for everyone from tots to grandparents (for the former, height restrictions do apply) and FlyOver gives locals and tourists alike a chance to travel the world without having to pack a carry-on or neck pillow.
