More than 115,000 camping reservations have been made at provincial campsites this year, a new record for BC Parks.

The previous record was set in 2012 when reservations at provincial campsites broke 100,000 for the first time.

B.C. added five more campgrounds to its reservation system – Discover Camping – in 2013. The campgrounds were Kleanza Creek, Martha Creek, Chilliwack Lake, Mable Lake and Bowron Lake.

In total, there are more than 5,000 individual sites available for reservation in 95 provincial parks throughout B.C.
