It's always hectic in the office at Vancouver-based Global Relay, according to the technology services company's CEO.
"That's a characteristic of any fast growing company because you're dealing with change everyday," Warren Roy said.
"It just has to be a very aligned senior management team that can draw out the vision of the company down through all of the employees."
Along with Vancouver-based Purdy's Chocolates, Global Relay was honoured this week by Deloitte Canada as among the best-managed companies in the country.
"As a technology company to win the best-managed award, we're super proud of what we've done in Vancouver as an organization and we're really proud of the people we employ," Roy said.
"Especially as a Canadian company, you have to think big and really try to go global with whatever your focus is and capitalize on world stage."
When handing out awards, Deloitte examined factors such as profitability, talent, mergers and acquisitions, innovation and the ability for companies to close the productivity gap.
Deloitte Canada managing partner John Hughes said in a statement that best-managed companies are willing to share insights to help all private companies grow.
"Best-managed companies lead the way with a clear vision focused on growth in new markets and product lines to drive profitability. They put the right people with the right skill sets in place, because that's what drives financial results."
