Veterinarian Dr. Conny Mosley has joined True Leaf Medicine International Ltd.’s veterinary advisory board. Mosley is a director and vice-president of the Canadian Association of Veterinary Cannabinoid Medicine and brings more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine to True Leaf. She currently leads the integrative pain management service at the VCA Canada 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario.
Sean Rathbone has been appointed chief operating officer at Emerald Health Therapeutics Inc. Prior to this appointment, Rathbone served as vice-president, manufacturing, Western Canada, Agropur; manager, manufacturing research and development, BDO Canada LLP; operations area manager, Amazon Canada Fulfillment Service Ltd.; and director, world-class manufacturing, Molson Coors. He started his career at Unilever in South Africa.
Michael Tan has been appointed chief marketing officer at Salvation Botanicals, a Nanaimo-based private company. Tan is the former founding executive director of the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch’s (BCLDB) cannabis division; he led the creation and launch of the province’s digital, retail and wholesale cannabis operations. Prior to BCLDB, Tan worked for retail banners such as Hudson’s Bay, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Indigo/Chapters where he drove large-scale transformations and acquisition integrations.
Finance
MNP recently welcomed several new partners to its Vancouver office: Blake Allan is a partner with the firm’s international tax group; he works with Canadian and foreign multinationals, high-net-worth Canadian individuals with foreign assets and high-net-worth non-resident individuals with Canadian assets.
Jacqueline Fehr is a partner with the tax services team. Experienced in tax dispute resolution and controversy, Fehr helps her clients understand complex tax problems and procedures and more easily navigate what could otherwise be a stressful and difficult process.
Susan Mowbray is a partner and economist in the firm’s economics and research group. Mowbray works with government and private-sector clients throughout Canada on a diverse range of projects including preparing regional economic outlooks, evaluating policies and documenting economic contributions.
Jenn Schofield is a partner and business adviser with the Indigenous services group in B.C. Schofield is the Centre of Excellence leader for MNP’s EASE Services, overseeing remote accounting solutions to Indigenous communities and their businesses across Canada.

Name change
The West Coast outdoor apparel company Sitka has changed its name to ecologyst to better reflect its business practices and also to reduce confusion as its rapid growth has caused some confusion with Sitka Gear, the U.S. hunting company.
Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP has changed its name to Farris LLP and has completed the rebrand with a new logo and website. See the new look at farris.com.

G&F Financial Group donated $5,581.24 to purchase a bili-therapy spot type for Royal Columbian Hospital’s Variety Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The equipment uses light to eliminate excess bilirubin in the blood, which causes jaundice. The bili-therapy spot type allows for very focused treatments.
Members of the Delta Kappa Epsilon – Tau Beta fraternity chapter at Simon Fraser University donated $6,715 to Canadian Mental Health Association Vancouver-Fraser. Funds were raised through the inaugural Nick Healey Hike for Mental Health, and will be used to support children and youth living with mental health issues through recreation-based programming. The hike is dedicated to a Tau Beta founding father who took his own life on March 25, 2014.
Shoppers Drug Mart donated $180,000 to BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre Foundation. The funds were raised through Shoppers Love.You. Run for Women and will directly support women’s mental health programs.
Scotiabank donated $2 million to St. Paul’s Foundation in support of youth transition programs at St. Paul’s Hospital. The Scotiabank Youth Transition Program aids young people with serious health issues who are transitioning from pediatric to adult care. •
