Home is where the heart is for some.
But homebuilding is where the accolades are for a couple of B.C. businesses that won big at the Canadian Home Builders' Association national awards in Whistler.
Vancouver's Adera Development Corp. and Concert Properties, Delta's Solterra Development Corp. and Abbotsford's Algra Bros. Developments were honoured for their achievements over the past year at the CHBA's SAM awards April 4.
Adera was recognized for its Sail project at the University of B.C. campus. The eco-friendly units helped earn the Vancouver developer a new home award for multi-family projects.
Concert and Solterra both nabbed honours in marketing, the latter winning a direct promotion award for its work on the Keefer Block project in Vancouver's Chinatown.
Concert won for best signage and logo for its Toronto-based Motion project.
The Algra Bros. was also handed a new homes award for its Brownstones on the Boulevard project. The developers were recognized for transporting Manhattan-esque rowhouse styles to the streets of Chilliwack.
"Each of these CHBA National SAM Award winners are truly accomplished," CHBA President Deep Shergill said in a statement.
"I congratulate all the winners and commend their outstanding performance."
