Representatives from British Columbia's First Nations will be meeting with provincial and federal government ministers and LNG proponents October 9 and 10 to discuss the opportunities and impacts of LNG development on First Nations.

The summit will be hosted in Prince George by the Carrier Sekani Tribal Council, and is intended to build relationships between all parties and discuss challenges inherent in LNG development in B.C.

"This is the first time all governments and industry in the LNG have come together in one place to discuss the associated risks and benefits," the tribal council said in a release.
