Taseko has launched a second judicial review of the proposed New Prosperity open pit mine in the Cariboo.
The Vancouver-based mining company alleges that the federal cabinet used an environmental assessment report based on a faulty tailing ponds design when it rejected the company's plan last month.
Taseko had originally launched a judicial review of the environmental assessment report itself. That case is ongoing.
The mine is supported by many business and political leaders in the region but is opposed by First Nations and environmental groups.
