Vancouver will once again play host to an international conference focusing on British Columbia's liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry.

The announcement was made by Premier Christy Clark November 29 as she tours Asia as part of the BC Jobs and Trade Mission, which wraps up December 3.

The three-day conference, which will take place May 21-23, 2014, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, will include speakers and a trade show, as well as provide information and tools for those seeking jobs in the LNG industry.

"International interest in British Columbia's clean natural gas continues to increase as an exciting new industry takes shape in our province," Clark said.

"We will build on that momentum, and host another world-class event which will further our commitments to job creation and economic growth in B.C."

Presentations and panel discussions will focus on First Nations issues, the environment and financing of LNG projects.

Participants will include global LNG experts, members of industry from around the world, governments, educators, First Nations and community representatives.
