The Dilawri Group of Companies, a national firm with more than 40 auto dealerships in its portfolio, has purchased the 50,000-square-foot Vancouver Honda dealership at 850 Southwest Marine Drive.
The purchase gives the Dilawri Group its sixth Honda location and makes the company the largest independent Honda dealer in Canada.
“We see this as an exciting opportunity to extend the successful partnership the Dilawri Group already has with Honda Canada nationally,” said Christian Dubois, Dilawri Group regional manager.
“Our goal is to take Vancouver Honda to the next level while increasing our market share by representing one of the world’s largest automotive brands.”
The dealership will be renovated to make room for more cars.
Vancouver Honda was opened in 1985. The dealership was purchased in 1988 by Marine Drive Imports and owned by the company for 25 years.
