A new branding program will show B.C. shoppers which products in their neighbourhood supermarket are made locally.

The B.C. Food Processors Association (BCFPA) will launch the program this fall. It will include in-store and web materials to help customers identify food products that are made by BCFPA members.

The B.C. government will contribute $65,000 of funding to the branding strategy through its Buy Local program, which offers up to $100,000 in matching funds to develop local food marketing campaigns.
