Coastal Contacts third best at using social media for web traffic

Vancouver-based eyeglass and contact lens seller Coastal Contacts Inc. (Nasdaq:COA; TSX:COA) announced January 18 that Internet Retailer magazine has ranked it as the third best company at generating web traffic from social media sources.

Vancouver-based eyeglass and contact lens seller Coastal Contacts Inc. (Nasdaq:COA; TSX:COA) announced January 18 that Internet Retailer magazine has ranked it as the third best company at generating web traffic from social media sources.

The top 10 companies on Internet Retailer magazine’s 2013 Social Media 300 list were:

Aaron Magness, Coastal Contacts’ vice-president of marketing, added that social media is a big part of the company’s marketing strategy and that Coastal will leverage the 900,000 “likes” or “friends” that it has on social media sites.
