Who or what is responsible for your work ethic?

My mother: a dedicated woman who managed to raise two active boys, study, work multiple jobs and continues to help all those around her.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Staying up late to enjoy the calmness of the night while being captivated by a good psychological thriller.

What is the best book you would recommend?

The Theory That Would Not Die, by Sharon McGrayne.

Now that you’re entering your 40s, what goals have you set for yourself?

I’ve just entered my 30s, however, I strive to make further ground in the quantum computing space and empower the next generation of data scientists.

What was your toughest business or professional decision?

Forgoing a large contract that would enable my business to scale for the sake of staying in tune with a business vision and core set of values.

Advice you would give your 20-year-old self?

Don’t be discouraged by others’ opinions – trust yourself and push onward.

What is your best habit?

No matter what the weather, I take my evening stroll to unwind and plan my next day.

I lived in Japan for some time where I discovered my passion for science and technology.

Best piece of advice ever received?

An idea is only as meaningful as the people you form it with.

What career highlight are you most proud of?

Leading the first quantum computing application in the grocery retail industry.
