Local fitness apparel company Respect Your Universe, Inc. (TSX-V:RYU) has taken on Manfred Vollmer in the position of COO.
Vollmer has worked for several high-profile retail companies, perhaps most notably Lululemon Athletica, where was the executive director of store development from 2004 to 2006. As well, he oversaw retail operations for all Vancouver 2010 Olympic Stores from 2007 to 2010. His past experience also includes having worked for Walmart and Ikea.
“Manfred’s entrepreneurial background in accelerating start-up operations and corporate strategic business development highlight this key addition for RYU,” said RYU president and chairman Marcello Leone.
