The City of Richmond launched a comprehensive new website March 5 to better engage with the city’s business owners.
City staff describe the new site as a one-stop location for all communication with city hall. It will also be a resource for getting business necessities such as business licences.
Business owners can also get information on business-related concerns, such as where in Richmond to locate, and on licensing requirements for signs or for commercial vehicle licensing.
The city touts the new program as designed to engage, service and support existing Richmond businesses, attract new ones and develop industry partnership prospects.
“Economic development, in the form of retention, expansion and attraction of businesses and jobs, is a key component towards building a balanced community and achieving local stability amidst global conditions of market turbulence and volatility,” said mayor Malcolm Brodie.
“The City of Richmond’s new business development program will facilitate the growth of our companies and industries, increase the exposure of Richmond as a global business destination and guide an enhanced policy and regulatory process in support of our businesses.”
