Absolute Software Corp. (TSX: ABT) announced this morning that it has completed the acquisition of LiveTime Software, a privately held company with offices in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
LiveTime is a provider of cloud-based IT service management and help-desk software.
“LiveTime solutions will strongly complement our persistent endpoint security and management solutions,” said Absolute chairman and CEO John Livingston.
“By leveraging our existing sales channels and current customer base, we are well-positioned to become a major player in the help desk and ITSSM [IT service support management] market.”
Darren Williams, Absolute’s VP and GM service management, said, “Under the Absolute umbrella, we can now provide customers with both cloud and on-premise solutions to automate their IT service management processes, thereby lowering their operational costs and improving operating efficiencies.”
This acquisition follows an October 24 announcement by Absolute that it plans to grow through acquisition, which will be an integral part of the company’s growth strategy over the next year.
