Vancouver’s BroadbandTV has hit a billion monthly impressions, the media and technology company announced September 9.
BroadbandTV is a multi-channel network on YouTube with more than 100 million subscribers from over 10,000 content partners.
“With growth comes increased competition and we’re looking forward to showing the market how we are different,” said BroadbandTV founder and CEO Shahrzad Rafati, who was one of last year’s BIV Forty Under 40 winners.
“Our proprietary technology platform benefits content creators of all sizes and we have a compelling road map of features that we can’t wait to release to make our content creator community even more successful.”
The milestone comes three months after the network announced a $36 million investment from European entertainment network RTL Group – the largest private placement in a Canadian Internet media company since 2007.
