Vancouver marketing and branding company B’stro has launched a free Bard on the Beach iPhone app.
The 2012 Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival iPhone app includes show schedules, cast biographies, Bard information and Shakespearean trivia and educational facts. The app is available for free at the iTunes app store.
“Bard on the Beach has always been on the forefront of audience engagement over its 23 seasons,” said Christopher Gaze, artistic director of Bard on the Beach.
Gaze commended B’stro, a 2012 season sponsor, as an agency that “consistently delivers outstanding technological innovations for the arts and culture sector.”
Kevin Chan, vice-president of technology at B’stro, also spoke highly of the partnership with Bard on the Beach.
“B’stro is proud to play our part with this great organization, bringing Shakespeare’s works directly to audiences through this iPhone app – yes, even the Scottish Play,” he said, referencing Bard’s inclusion of Macbeth in its roster this year.
Bard on the Beach is Western Canada’s largest professional Shakespeare company.
