The 2012 GROW Conference, which is projected to attract a record 800 tech founders and executives to Vancouver, is set to take place August 22 to 24.
The conference brings in founders of fast-growing companies to discuss how the consumer revolution is changing the future of business.
Debbie Landa, founder and CEO of Dealmaker Media and the GROW Conference, said, “By exporting the Silicon Valley culture to Vancouver, the most beautiful city in the world, the GROW conference has doubled in size in two years.
“This conference is fast-becoming the must-attend event for entrepreneurs around the world.”
In addition to the GROW conference, organizers have added GROWtalks, a one-day conference for startup teams to learn how to create simple, actionable metrics and use them to make better product and marketing decisions.
Industry experts will share advice on how to improve design, product and customer development, acquisition, retention and more.
Excitement surrounding the conference has spread throughout the northwest tech community with the creation of “Geeks on a Train” to ride up to GROW.
The train starts in Portland, stops in Seattle and ends in Vancouver.
With a week’s worth of activities, GROW2012 has become a must-attend event on many tech calendars.
Red Russak of Startup City Seattle said, “High quality speakers, like-minded entrepreneurs and a chance to get a taste of the Vancouver startup community...what else could you want?”
GROW Conference speakers include:
- Scott Dunlap, vice-president, emerging opportunities, PayPal;
- Julia Hartz, co-founder and president, Eventbrite; and
- Eric Koger, co-founder and CEO, ModCloth.
