Vancouver-based online personal shopper site Wantering has announced the closing of a $470,000 seed round led by venture capital firm Yaletown Ventures.
Wantering – a "social web fashion recommendation platform" – facilitates the finding and buying of merchandise from fashion blogs and curation networks.
The company is a graduate of Vancouver startup accelerator GrowLab's 2012 spring cohort and was cofounded by Matt Friesen, Nicholas Molnar, Nick Cairns and Jesse Sherlock.
The announcement follows six months of private beta testing and was announced at the time of the company's public launch.
