Hootsuite has added Instagram to its dashboard, the Vancouver-based company announced August 5.
This change will allow users to schedule Instagram content and monitor their accounts directly from Hootsuite.
Jimmy Duval, VP Product at Hootsuite, said the addition is huge. A January Pew Research Internet Product study found Instagram is the fastest-growing social media account amongst American adults, outpacing Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Twitter.
“This integration will also make marketers and social media managers more efficient as they will no longer have to switch between their phone and computer to track all aspects of a social media campaign,” Duval said. “For example, if a new product is launched, responses to comments and engagement with users on Instagram can be carried out from the same window that is being used to engage followers on Twitter and Facebook.
“Everything is in one place."
Hootsuite has been growing rapidly since it launched in 2008 and now has over 10 million users around the world. The company calls itself a pioneer in social media management. The company closed a US$60 million round of financing in September 2014, which was led by a Boston-based asset manager.
