Vancouver-based HootSuite Media Inc. has released a new dashboard tool that targets team collaboration in the workplace, the company announced the morning.
According to HootSuite, the new tool, HootSuite Teams, allows companies to:
- plan sophisticated social media campaigns months in advance with robust scheduling features;
- end rogue tweets with the use of powerful permission settings and limit who can post to which networks;
- post freely across Twitter, Facebook and all social networks as a cohesive team;
- approve and align all messages before posting with global, top-down controls; and
- assign incoming messages among team members for followup, keeping customer complaints from going viral.
Company founder and CEO Ryan Holmes told Business in Vancouver, "The significant upgrade to HootSuite Teams addresses the number one request we have had from businesses leveraging Facebook, Twitter and other networks: collaboration.
"Until today, even the most advanced tools have left social managers scrambling to keep large teams on brand and messaging campaigns aligned."
In March, HootSuite announced that it had secured a $20 million investment from Toronto-based OMERS Ventures.
