Vancouver social media management firm HootSuite achieved accelerated growth in the first quarter of 2013, the company announced this morning.
The company said it has now surpassed six million users, after reaching five million just a few months prior in October 2012.
The corporate headcount has reached 300, and the company said it is hiring an average of 10 employees a week. The company now has 30 employees in Europe.
"HootSuite's dramatic growth was largely driven by increased demand among large global organizations," the company stated in today's announcement.
The company said it achieved growth of:
- 272% in corporate sales (companies valued at less than $10 billion) in Europe, the Middle East and Asia; and
- 900% in international strategic sales (companies valued at over $10 billion).
New clients included Expedia, the Buffalo Sabres and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
HootSuite said its social media management system is now available in 13 languages, with the most recent additions being Russian and Korean.
