Troubled wireless carrier Mobilicity has indefinitely delayed a debtholder vote on a recapitalization plan and says it is in talks with "multiple parties" on an acquisition plan.
"We are working diligently to reach an acquisition agreement and thank our customers, dealers, employees and partners for their continued support as we see this process through to its completion," said Mobilicity president and COO Stewart Lyons.
The company says it has the right to reconvene the debtholder vote at any time.
An earlier acquisition attempt by Telus failed after the federal government refused to allow the transfer of Mobilicity's radio frequency licences to Telus. Ottawa cited competition concerns as its reason for halting the $380 million deal.
