Simon Fraser University has expanded its Beedie School of Business to include a new part-time MBA program at its campus in Surrey.

Like SFU's MBA program offered in Vancouver, the Surrey program will be held primarily in the evening, which allows working professionals time to take classes without conflicting with their daytime schedules.

"The implementation of the Beedie School of Business' part-time MBA program provides the City of Surrey's growing business community a new opportunity for growth and progression, as well as reflects Simon Fraser University's dedication to our city," said Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts.

Classes are scheduled to begin in January 2014. The program will run continuously over 24 months and is geared towards those living in Surrey, Langley, Delta, New Westminster, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Mission. Most classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a couple three-day intensive classes held per year.

SFU's Beedie School of Business launched Canada's first Executive MBA program in 1968.
