Social Media Week organizers have landed ING Direct as the second annual event's title sponsor along with $20,000 in funding.

The festival (#smwvan) runs September 24 through 28 and aims to foster discussion of how social media is evolving.

The B.C. Chapter of the American Marketing Association and SOHO Group are also partners in the festival, which will have events of interest for entrepreneurs.

A panel of speakers will discuss how to use social media for business on September 26 at the Killjoy Cocktail Tavern in Yaletown.

Another event will include three entrepreneurs who each get to pitch either a social, mobile or technology venture to angel investors better known as "dragons" on CBC's Dragons' Den. Jim Treliving and Bruce Croxon will join three guest dragons from the B.C. business community in assessing the pitch.

To be selected to be one of the three pitchers, entrepreneurs must first upload a three-minute video of their pitch to www.dragons.strutta.com before September 18.
