Growth in both wireless and wireline revenue at Telus Corp. (TSX:T) has led to a rise in its 2013 fourth-quarter profit compared with a year previously.
The telecom giant reported on February 13 it experienced a 3.4% growth in revenue to $2.95 billion from the same period in 2012.
Meanwhile, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization went up 3.6% to $951 million.
Telus said 4.1% growth in wireless network revenue and 3.4% growth in wireline revenue drove much of that increase in earnings.
The company drew nearly 120,000 net new costumer connections in the fourth quarter, which includes 113,000 postpaid wireless customers, 38,000 TV subscribers and 21,000 high-speed Internet customers.
