Telus (TSX:T) is bringing a new chief financial officer into the fold.

Outgoing CFO John Gossling, who spent 3.5 years at Telus, will stick around until the end of the month help with the transition of job responsibilities to Doug French.

French is a 20-year veteran of the Vancouver-based telecom giant and most recently served as corporate controller.

This marks the second big management change at Telus in less than a year.

Last August, former CEO Darren Entwistle returned to lead the company after his replacement, Joe Natale, spent only a year at the helm.

Quarterly financial results released earlier this month revealed Telus’ net income dropped 9.1% to $378 million compared with a year ago.
