Launch Academy has announced a partnership with Microsoft Ventures that would see the Vancouver startup incubator receiving support and resources from the technology giant, according to technology blog Techvibes.
Microsoft will be on-site to provide mentorship support, in addition to access to Microsoft products for development and testing. Launch Academy cohorts will also be supported by the Microsoft BizSpark program, a network of entrepreneurial startups that provides free software and support including developer tools and training.
"Microsoft has been instrumental in the growth and establishment of Launch Academy as the centre for entrepreneurship in British Columbia," said Launch Academy executive director Ray Walia.
"We are excited to expand our relationship with Microsoft Ventures and continue building the vibrant startup ecosystem and prosperous economy we all aspire to achieve."
Microsoft Ventures has also announced partnerships with two other Canadian incubators – Montreal's Notman House and Toronto's MaRS Discovery District.
