Vancouver-based HootSuite has a new executive leading the company's charge on technological advancement.
The company behind one of the most prolific social media management platforms announced April 14 that Ajai Sehgal is taking over as the new chief technology officer.
The new CTO takes over from Simon Stanlake, who has been with the company since 2010. Although Stanlake is stepping down as CTO, he will remain with HootSuite's engineering leadership team.
Sehgal's resume includes stops at Groupon and Expedia, where he oversaw a team of 300 developers, engineers and managers.
"I can't think of a more exciting time to join the team at HootSuite," Sehgal said in a statement.
"The innovation and collaboration that drives this company is the type of culture I thrive in."
