Victoria’s TinyMob Games, which was founded two months ago, has landed $2 million in seed funding from a number of local angel investors, reports technology blog Techvibes November 13.
The company, founded by Alex Medelev, Jamie Toghill and Chris Hoefgen, develops free-to-play games for mobile devices including iPhones and iPads, and it expects to release its first game next spring.
The founders are not new to the gaming sector. Toghill has worked with Electronic Arts, Disney Interactive, Hasbro, Interplay Productions and MicroProse. Mendelev and Hoefgen have worked with free-to-play gaming company Backstage Games, which was acquired by RealNetworks in 2010.
The angel investors include Adrian Pereira, Don Wharton, Elton Pereira and Myron Pereira.
