Air Canada announced March 15 that it will launch Vancouver’s only non-stop service to Boston, Massachusetts starting June 23.
The seasonal flights will be daily until September 4.
Unlike Air Canada’s year-round daily route between Vancouver and Dallas, which launched February 5, the Vancouver-Boston route will have promotional pricing to help fill the planes.
Introductory prices start at $486 including all taxes.
“These new non-stop flights will shave two hours of travel time for customers travelling between the Canadian west coast and the U.S. northeastern seaboard,” said Air Canada’s president of passenger airlines
Benjamin Smith.
Flights will be on a 120-seat Airbus A319 aircraft and will have both business and economy sections.
Flights leave Vancouver at 8:55 a.m. and arrive in Boston at 5:03 p.m.
The return flight leaves Boston at 5:55 p.m. and arrives in Vancouver at 9 p.m.
“Boston was one of our most underserved markets,” Vancouver Airport Authority spokeswoman Tess Messmer told Business in Vancouver.
