A search is underway for a flight bound for Prince George that has gone missing.
The commercial cargo carrier with two pilots and no passengers on board left Vancouver International Airport at 6:43 a.m. was supposed to land in Prince George at 8 a.m. but did not do so.
Joint Rescue Coordination Centre spokesman Paul Trenholm said radar contact with the flight was lost at 7:10 a.m. and a search aircraft is now following the plane's registered flight path.
Anyone who may have seen the plane is asked to contact the JRCC, Trenholm said. The JRCC can be reached at 1-800-567-5111 or cellular #727.
The plane is described as a white Fairchild Swearingen SA 226 Metro II twin-engine turboprop.
